I have been involved in art since my early childhood having grown up in a family with a long history of artists. My sister's and I have paintings done by grandparents and our mother as well as fine stained glass and woodwork made by our father. We merely follow in the footsteps of our ancestors. Now we hope to pass these gifts on to all those that follow in our footsteps. I pray they find the same joy I do through the expression of their art.

Janet Irene Art studio is owned and operated by Janet Irene Yates. Her studio is equipped to facilitate a broad array of art projects for sale as custom pieces as well as customer ideas and consignment items. The artists in residence include Janet Irene and her husband John and the many other extremely talented family members of this very artistic clan.
After spending many years living and working in medical missions with Luke Medical Foundation, Janet Irene and her husband, John Yates MD, have settled in Western New York in the town of Houghton, home of Houghton University. They are surrounded by beautiful forests, rivers and lakes with no end of natural inspiration. Now they live in the house next door to their youngest son and his family where they have access to 3 of the youngest artists in the form of grandchildren. The rest of the art clan is spread throughout the US and we look forward to displaying some of their fine work in these pages.
